Renowned singer Asha Bhosle makes her acting debut with the film 'Mai'. Mai is a Hindi film and not Marathi as being misreported in media. The story revolves around an uneducated mother, Mai from Maharashtra, who had more expectations on her only son but to her misfortune, it so happened that she had to be isolated from her son, as he went for a job in a foreign country. At the time, when the mother realizes that only she had to depend on her daughter, her two younger daughters escape from their responsibilities, leave the whole burden on their older sister Madhu.

Direction, Performance and Music:- directed by Mahesh Kodiyal direct the movie in really good way, story is very touching story relationship between daughter and mother, both Padmini and Asha ji perform it in very well manner. Ram Kapoor  Is best as always. Music is very soothing.
